This Top Load Washer Drive Motor causes your washer to spin, agitate, and drain properly during the washing cycle. This motor is a single speed motor (120 volt). When accessing the old motor, be sure to remove the ground wire and the base from it so you can transfer these to the new motor before installing. This part is designed to be used with select Whirlpool®, Maytag®, Kenmore®, Crosley® and Amana® washing machines; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
